A Child's Garden of Verses

Robert Louis Stevenson’s beloved classic, brought to life with the enchanting one-of-a-kind illustrations of Myrtle Sheldon

First published in 1885 and cherished by generations, A Child’s Garden of Verses invites young readers into a world where imagination transforms the everyday: a bed becomes a ship, a meadow a rolling sea, and a swing soars into the sky. Myrtle Sheldon’s luminous illustrations provide the perfect companion to Stevenson’s wonder-filled poetry, making this edition a treasure for children and adults alike.

Special Note: This is an unabridged edition of the original work published in 1916 by M.A. Donahue and Company. Living Books Press has created an edition faithful to Sheldon's art-deco illustrations and hand-lettered typeface. A perfect read aloud for young children and a keepsake for the family library.
