LBC to Offering Live Classes and Mentoring Groups In 2019

Live Classes Mentoring K-8 Curriculum

NOTICE: The LBC course site as it has been previously is now closed and we are opening soon to wonderful new possibilities of online learning. Read on…

As autumn leaves tumbled down in Michigan the LBC team put their brainy heads together to see how we can better meet the needs of homeschooling families educating with Charlotte Mason’s timeless methods.

In the past, LBC was primarily a curriculum company. In other words, we offered books and guides. While we received an award for our good work, we have recently felt…

We can do better

When we started in 2003 with our Foundation Year there was no complete CM curriculum that one could purchase as a package. By 2009, we were a full elementary curriculum and the LBC elves were very busy filling orders. Recently, we have seen parents migrating more and more to online classrooms.

So we went to our families and asked them what they needed. You told us you wanted help teaching subjects you are unsure of and mentoring in how to create the best possible learning environment in your home.

We listened…

In 2019 we will began offering two new areas of support: Live Classes and personalized Parent Mentoring. Eventually, we want to up-level to a full online academy using our award winning curriculum and a first-rate learning platform in order to offer Live Classes for children and Mentoring for parents.

We imagine helping parents provide a warm, supportive learning environment and seeing a generation of children excel.

How LBC can help in 2019.

Starting in January 2019, LBC will offer the homeschooling community three areas of support. We will continue to offer our high-quality education for your children.

The BIG difference is we are focusing on two additional areas: Live Classes and Mentoring. The addition of these two will provide families the support they need to fulfill the promise each child has.

Beginning in January, we will be offering a range of live course, some for elementary and some for high school level.

Teach for a Day was so popular that we will be offering one each month from a menu of topics, such as holidays, seasons, and other beloved childhood topics such as pets. We will announce the schedule in January

Our first course in 2019 will be Introduction to Good Writing with Good Books intended for junior and high school level students (ages 12 and up). It will be six weeks in length and give everyone an idea of how we will go moving forward. If you would like to be on the list to receive information about this course REGISTER HERE

Happily for many, we will have a monthly Q & A to help you with all your questions about CM and LBC’s curriculum. We will also be offering a group membership for more up-close and personal help. And last of all, if you would like one-on-one mentoring, I’m your gal!

We will continue to offer our award-winning curriculum. We are currently updating certain manuals. You can also look for a pre-School curriculum using Miss Mason’s methods in the future.
